EVG Welding Machine Brings Greater Flexibility to Tammet’s Mesh Production

Tammet continues to develop its production capabilities to respond even more flexibly to different customer requirements. Purchased in 2022 and completed in 2023, the EVG IM-ECO welding machine enables us to manufacture a wide range of welded mesh products while efficiently switching between different products and production runs.

The EVG IM-ECO is designed for the flexible production of industrial, fencing, and light mesh, particularly in small and medium-sized production runs. The machine can produce welded mesh with a welding width of up to 3,200 mm. Both line and cross wire diameters can range from 3 to 8 mm.

Its broad adjustment range allows us to manufacture different mesh configurations according to customer and application requirements. Line wire spacing can be adjusted from 25 to 400 mm, while cross wire spacing ranges from 12.5 to 400 mm.

Flexibility for Different Products and Production Runs

The IM-ECO is well suited for production where mesh types and dimensions vary. Fast and easy manual changeovers between products help reduce setup times and provide flexibility for different production volumes.

Cross wires can be fed and welded above and/or below the line wires in any sequence, providing additional possibilities for producing different mesh configurations.

The machine has a maximum operating speed of 150 cross wires per minute. EVG-ECOWELD medium-frequency DC welding technology supports an energy-efficient and controlled welding process.
