Catch-fans

In high-altitude working environments, safety is most effectively ensured by catch-fans, which protect staff and catch falling objects in challenging work conditions.

Tammet’s catch-fan solutions are manufactured in accordance with the EN 1263-1 standard, which guarantees their reliability and safety of use even in demanding conditions. Our selection includes both standard products and customer-specific options.

The modules are attached to the edges of vaults, facades, or scaffolding, for example, and are available in sizes such as 3 × 6 m and 3 × 4 m.

The mesh consists of a double structure: The 60 × 60 mm polypropylene (PP) protective mesh stops larger falling objects by absorbing their kinetic energy, and the 20 × 20 mm polyethylene (PE) protective net effectively prevents smaller objects from falling.

The structure has been thoroughly tested and meets the requirements of the EN 1263-1 standard, stopping an object weighing up to 100 kg from a drop height of 7 meters.

Applications for catch-fan solutions can be found especially in high-rise construction projects, but they also work excellently in confined environments, as they can be quickly folded out from under a crane, for example.

We offer a wide range of compatible fastening components for different structures. In addition, we offer technical support from design to delivery and, if necessary, training in the safe use of our catch-fan solutions.

Catch-fan solutions are always used in combination with edge protection barrier or personal protection solutions.
