Protective mesh
Tammet develops protective mesh and welded protective mesh solutions for defence and protection needs. Protective mesh can limit and direct activities, protect targets, and reduce damage and risks in changing conditions.
Protective mesh is suitable for securing both permanent and temporary targets when practical and cost-effective physical protection is needed. The mesh supports a variety of use cases, such as area protection, reinforcement of critical points, and securing operations in field conditions.

Welded protective meshes are made from steel wire, which can be powder-coated according to the RAL colour chart or hot-dip or electro-galvanised. The mesh is easy to shape and cut, and it is delivered in flat sheets on a pallet. For standard meshes, the wire thickness is ø 2.8–4.8 mm, the wires meet the EN ISO 16120-2:2011 standard, and by special order, mesh can be made with wire thicknesses of up to ø 8.0 mm.
The focus of Tammet’s protective mesh is on easy transportability and quick installation. Protective mesh can be combined and adjusted to the dimensions of the target, providing concrete protection as part of a comprehensive defence and protection system.
