Rock mesh
Our dynamic rock mesh made from carbon steel is developed to be easily shaped along the rock surface while fulfilling the customer’s requirements for safety and strength. Safety is ensured by measuring the strength, deformation, and energy absorption properties of the mesh.
By using our customer’s fastening systems, particularly the base plate and rock bolts, we can simulate the impact of the rock pressure on the mesh and the customer’s actual situation as accurately as possible.
Tests are carried out by attaching dynamic mesh to a 1×1 m square using four bolts. Other bolt patterns are also possible. By testing several different types of mesh, we can easily find the best solution that meets our customer’s needs.
Different underground conditions (chloride levels, temperature) require mesh made from different materials. Tammet’s mesh can be manufactured from e.g. low-carbon rock mesh wire and different stainless steel types such as EN 1.4301 and 1.4401 (AISI 304 and 316). Hot Dip Galvanized rock mesh is also available. For extremely corrosive conditions, it is also possible to provide electropolished mesh to optimize corrosion protection.

Reinforcement mesh
Annealed reinforcement mesh is used as reinforcement for concrete spraying. The annealed mesh is easy to shape and ensures that the concrete adheres well to the rock. Annealed mesh can also be used as a support mesh for shotcreted subsurface drains.
